Our Program
Our Program
The curriculums used at Cornerstone are field-tested with children and modified to ensure effectiveness. Our teacher is in face-to-face contact with the students, in control of the interaction, telling, showing, modeling, demonstrating, and prompting the learners' rapid active responding. Our teachers follow carefully constructed scripts designed to maximize learning and minimize confusion through accurate communication involving examples and non-examples of the instruction sequence. Implementation involves frequent, systematic assessment. Consistent monitoring of the students' progress allows for data-based decisions. It provides information to the teacher to ensure learning by the student is taking place. The system is guided by the principle that the student's behavior tells us whether the instruction was adequate. Furthermore, it emphasizes the continuous monitoring of student progress and promotes fluency of all skills.
