Implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis Strategies in Classrooms in Miami Dade Public Schools

English - Miami Dade Public school teachers are currently experiencing a lack of training of effective strategies and interventions to efficiently work and teach children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Research has demonstrated Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) strategies and procedures to be effective in treating autism and other developmental disabilities, as well as addressing problem behaviors in typical children. Training in research-based ABA interventions can help improve classroom structures and reduce problem behaviors while targeting and increasing appropriate replacement behaviors. Teachers will greatly benefit from this effective research-based training by incorporating Board Certified Behavior Analysts in public schools to train and provide support in classrooms with special needs children.
EspaƱol- Los maestros de las escuelas publicas de Miami-Dade County estĆ”n falta de entrenamiento en estrategias efectivas para trabajar y enseƱar a niƱos con autismo y otros problemas de desarrollo. Estudios cientĆficos han demostrado que las estrategias y procedimientos de el AnĆ”lisis Conductual Aplicado (ABA) son efectivas en tratar niƱos con autismo y otras necesidades especiales, al igual que con niƱos tĆpicos con problemas de conducta. Entrenamiento en intervenciones de ABA es necesario para ayudar a mejorar la estructura en las aulas y reducir problemas de conducta mientras se trabaja en incrementar conductas de remplazo apropiadas. Los maestro se beneficiarĆan grandemente de utilizar este tipo de estrategias cientĆficamente estudiadas, si analistas de conducta certificados fueran incorporados en las escuelas publicas para proveer entrenamiento y apoyo con niƱos que tenga necesidades especiales.
